Vine Park Brewing Company is promoting Beer-partisan Brewing to bring some unity to Minnesota’s political environment. Just because the Minnesota state government reached a compromise to end the state shutdown, doesn’t mean that the contentious rifts between the political parties have healed. Since Minnesotans want their politicians to work better together, we propose they start working together on something they can agree on—great craft beer.
Vine Park Brewing Company is putting a call out to state and local legislators to collaborate with their political adversaries and brew craft beer together.
We’re inviting these political odd couples to help us brew and fill growlers and then sample their beer-partisan brews as special guests of one of our Monday night tasting events. Or they could do brew-on-premises together and donate the beer they make to a local non-profit charity. The important thing is that they’ll be working together on something they can agree on and enjoy—and the result will be good beer instead of another law. Now that’s a win-win!
In addition, we’ll be holding a contest through our Facebook page, asking Vine Park fans which local political figures they’d like to see brew together and which beer style they’d like them to make. Vine Park will choose a winning submission and reward the contestant with the opportunity to brew with the politicians and keep the beer they make.
To commemorate the beer-partisan brewing collaborations, Vine Park will brew and sell the same beer styles brewed by the politicians in limited edition “Common Ground Growlers”.
As part of the Beer-partisan Brewing promotion, Vine Park might feature growlers of several political unity-themed beers, including but not limited to:
- Progress Pilsner
- Win-Win Wheat
- Fill-a-Brewster Brown Ale
- Ale-mate Pale Ale
- Across the Aisle IPA
- Ballot Bock
- Beerocracy Brown Ale
- Special Session Saison
- Meet-in-the-Middle Maibock
